Our latest Cabelas purchase. While finalizing the paperwork, Luke wandered off. I found him a few minutes later by the fishes at Cabelas...Just wait til I reel one into the boat!
Cool bananas. My only memory of canoeing is at Disneyland.
If Microsoft built canoes, everyone would get excited about the "new" features of the Microsoft canoes, forgetting completely they'd been available in a Mac for years.
If Mac built canoes, you would have to stick a paperclip into a small hole underneath the canoe to release the paddles. Of course, the hole would only open once the canoe was waterborne.
Also, the canoe would cost 3 times as much as other brand name canoes, and, following the pattern of refusing to join the 21st century and include "right click" buttons and scroll wheels on their mouse, the canoe would be made out of birch bark with one square end and one pointed end.
There would only be one store on planet earth for you to get birch bark canoe accessories, and some hacker living in Yugoslavia would be the only person capable of making repairs.
The coolest canoing (I thought it was canoeing, too, but it's not) experience of my life was with Brandi's dad on Green River Lakes up in the Wind River Range in Wyoming. Way back in the mountains lie the headwaters of the mighty Green River. Moose, elk, bear, and luscious lake trout with mountains rising right up out of the lake and pines surrounding. We canoed out onto the placid waters with early morning mists on rising, and trolled along at the speed our paddles pushed us. Someday we need to have a family camping trip there and we can all pile into Daves canoe and capsize.
When Hal and I were kids, we gave our sister Sally a board game named "CONFLICT" for Christmas. It was a war game. She didn't much want it so Hal and I played it lots and lots. Way to go Dave.

Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you never see him again.
Amen brutha!

I like PC's as well. -Brett
We mock what we don't understand.
My favorite fishing memory is fishing off the pier with brudder Bryan. However, there's still a few pages in the old brother-diary for canoing!

Way to go Dave? What's that supposed to mean?
